​Why do we believe in the importance of Story?  Psychologists have discovered that stories are how we think, learn, process and make meaning of life.  Our stories tell us who we are (our identity), why we are here (our purpose), and where we belong.

Story Retreats

What is your story? Have you wondered if your story matters? TRUE Stories Ministries believes YOUR STORY is of great value, and we know your story is part of a much bigger Story.

In our weekend Story Retreats, we use various methods to engage all types of learners such as brief teachings, hands-on experience, journaling, reflection time, and group interactions. We hope to help people in this process see the truth of our stories from Jesus’ perspective, identifying lies that have held us captive, replacing them with His truth, seeing His grace throughout our stories, and discovering the freedom of living in our TRUE identity and purpose!

Small Group Study

“In 2020, the pandemic created challenges for us to gather in large groups for retreats.  However, more than ever, women need opportunities to connect and find freedom from the things that hinder them from walking fully in their calling.  So, for the first time, we have adapted our retreat experience into a journey for small groups to take together.  What is the purpose of this journey?  To put it simply, it is for your life to be transformed by the ongoing redemption of your story.  For you to learn how to use your story as a tool for evangelism and discipleship. Our curriculum for small groups entitled “Transforming Stories” was officially published in August, 2022. This 12 lesson study is for groups of 4 or more.  Unlike any other study, this is an interactive experience designed to engage all learning styles using multi-media materials including: written lessons and homework, teaching videos, music, unique hands-on group activities, discussion topics, and more!  Though this is different from a Bible study which unpacks specific books of the Bible, scripture is central to this study because we cannot know the truth without it.  In addition to examining pieces of God's Story through His Word, you will also examine your own stories weekly through intentional exercises to help you learn, love, and live your true story.  Though attending a Story Retreat is not a requirement for using this curriculum, this is a wonderful follow-up tool after a retreat to help you dive deeper in the process.
